Crystal Palace har signert Loic Remy på lån fra Chelsea ut sesongen. I følge troverdige kilder har Palace opsjon på kjøp ved utløp av låneavtalen.

Spissen spilte for Alan Pardew i Newcastle i 13/14, hvor han laget 14 mål på 27 kamper. Han har siden spilt 47 kamper for Chelsea, hvor han har laget 12 mål. Remy har 31 landskamper for Frankrike og har tidligere også spilt for Lyon, Lens, Nice, Marseille og QPR.

Remy uttalte etter signeringen: “This is a very good chance for me and a big opportunity. It was very important to know Alan Pardew as he is a very good manager and I am happy to be here.”

Alan Pardew var lykkelig over signeringen og innrømmet at han har jaktet Remy sin signatur i lang tid. “Loic has been a target of mine throughout this transfer window and I’m delighted the deal has been done. I brought him to Newcastle so I know what he is capable of and I am convinced he will be a quality addition to our squad as we evolve.  Loic has international and Champions League experience as well as being a Premier League title winner and is the latest example of the high calibre of players we have brought into the club during this transfer window”.
